Best Practices for Payments and Material Costs
Prior to committing, as a parent/student, to purchase any learning materials, (such as course books, workbooks, revision booklets or flashcards), it would be advisable to refer to the guidelines below:
- For whom are the materials? If there are any recommended materials that you have been advised by the tutor(s) to purchase, then, then you may need to ask yourself - "who is going to keep hold of them"? If you decide to keep the study resources or agree with the tutor(s)/teacher(s) that they are going to purchase the materials on your behalf, and then send them back to you, then as a parent/student would need to bear the costs.
Should you decide to purchase the study materials, and eventually the tutor gets to keep them, then you could either voluntarily give away those learning resources or ask the tutor(s)/teacher(s) to compensate you for them.
