Creating a New Account
Creating a new account, as a student, parent or tutor on the Suited Tutor platform - is completely free. There will be no hidden or unexpected surprises. As a tutor/teacher, you will only get charged, once you mutually agree to deliver a class to any of your students.
Where are the classes taking place?
The sessions can either be face-to-face or online.
If the classes are in-person, then they:
- can take place at the parent's/student's home (OR)
- can take place at the tutor's home, as long as there is a family member, who is older than 18 years of age and can accompany the student, if the student is younger than 16 (OR)
- can take place in a public space, such as a local library
If the classes are online, then they:
- can take place anywhere from the UK and you can use our company's video conferencing and whiteboard platform
Tutor Earnings
As a tutor, you are definitely the boss of your own and you can set your preferred hourly rate.
Furthermore, you can also consult our academic consultants' and experts' views, who can guide or share with you a price hourly range, based on your experience and academic qualifications. How much do tutors keep from their earnings?
Since Suited Tutor deducts a platform fee of 20% of the lesson from the student's payment, you will be receiving 80% of each lesson's price-earnings that you have set on your profile. For example, if you have set an hourly rate price of £10, then you will be earning £8 and Suited Tutor will just earn £2.
What is the platform fee covering?
Our primary and exclusive source of income is coming from the platform charges, and we devote a significant percentage of it - to marketing and recurring new tutors, in order to attract as many parents/students as we can to our website, so that our tutors can maximise their earnings.
The platform fee also helps us to offer a wide range of academic resources and video communication tools, like the online classroom and whiteboard features, including our community platform, where our tutors can interact with each other and build relationships with their students, as well as engage in discussions and media events though Suited Tutor.
